Back From Vacations!

Hi fans, it’s been a while since I last updated the blog. Took a little vacation before Christmas and came back in the first week of January. Had a great time in Dubai. Roamed around and visited their shopping malls. Although I visited Dubai 2 years ago, in December 2013, I never had the chance to visit Dubai Mall, which is actually the world’s largest shopping mall based on total area. It’s a beautiful place. The Christmas decor and arrangements were just breath taking. You can roam around all day without getting tired.

Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is another joy. You can stand there watching the rays and sharks all day. They have over 400 sharks live in the tank! DubaiDino and Dubai Ice Rink are some other highlights of Dubai Mall. The Waterfall is another spectacular water feature that offers a vantage meeting point for visitors to the mall.

Saw Burj Khalifa too for the first time. You have that WOW moment when you look at it for the first time.

Next day we went to Mall of the Emirates, which was another treat for the eyes. MOE has 560+ outlets, choice of entertainments like Ski Dubai and Magic Planet, and 90+ dining options.

Day 3 was a visit to Global Village Dubailand, which is claimed to be the world’s largest tourism, leisure, and entertainment project. It is a great shopping destination ideal for families. You’ll see stunt shows, stage shows, concerts, cultural shows, and street shows, all around Global Village. They have stalls representing different countries from all around the globe and you would want to buy everything! I fell in love with China, Thailand, and Africa and bought a few items too 🙂 You can’t come out of Global Village without getting broke!!!

During my trip, I also visited Ibn Battuta Mall, and Burj Al Arab, although I’ve visited both on my earlier trip in 2013. The best thing I like about Dubai is that everything is perfect and organized AND everything is wheelchair accessible! For an MS patient like me, that’s very important.

You guys enjoy the photos from my trip, while I get back to work. There is a small backlog that needs to be taken care of and I will also start adding content and hand-picked entries to the categories.
